Store credit is issued for 25% of the purchase price on books purchased from other sources. The credit is issued on a category basis. For example, science fiction credit can only be used toward the purchase of other used science fiction paperback books. Romance credit can only be used toward the purchase of other used romance novels, etc.
Store credit is issued for 50% of the purchase price on used books purchased from The BookShelf. This credit is also issued on a category basis. See notes in paragraph one (1).

New, out of print, signed first editions, rare/collectible, hardback, childrens and some used books are "cash" only items. No trade-ins will be accepted on these books.
No series romance novels will be accepted with a publication date over 30 days old.
Credit will be held on file for six (6) months from the last credit tranaction date.
All books accepted for credit are taken on an as needed basis.
The BookShelf does not purchase books from individuals.
